Traditional

Traditional stoves, made from the finest cast iron or steel construction, bring a rustic warmth and cosiness to your home, creating a delightfully comforting environment. The stoves have undergone outstanding craftsmanship to look traditional in appearance, and yet modern in convenience and effectiveness.
With so many different styles of traditional stoves available, Ash and Embers can help you find the stove that will suit you.

Some of the best traditional styled stoves available can be viewed in our showroom. We are a Charnwood Premier dealership and display the Island, Cove and Tor series. Also on display are some of the best stoves available from Cleanburn, Chesney's, Portway, Parkray, Stovax, Contura and more.

If you live in a designated Smoke Free Area you can still have a wood burning stove provided the stove is Ecodesign Ready or has “DEFRA exemption” from the requirements of the Clean Air Act.

Simply put this means that the stove or fire has been submitted for testing by the manufacturer, and assuming it burns clean enough it is legal to burn wood on it anywhere, including Smoke Control Areas such as London.

Virtually every stove on display in the Ash & Embers showroom has DEFRA exemption so you can sit back in the knowledge that not only is you stove attractive and a joy to own, but is also clean burning and not damaging the environment.
