        Changes to Building Regulations in England and Wales from the 1st October 2010 make it compulsory to install a Carbon Monoxide Alarm with every solid fuel installation.

        Strangely Carbon Monoxide has always been associated by the general public with burning Gas, but not with wood and coal.
